About a 1/2 inch across, anchored at the bottom from a single point. It's in my sump, no known animals in there...

Well, it is growing right next to/amongst good old green bubble algae! Just remove it all at the same time. No biggie if you keep on top of it.

If you can remove the rock, do so and scrape it off then soak the area in hydrogen peroxide for a few minutes. rinse it in so me tank water and return the rock to your tank.

If you can't remove the rock, use a siphon hose and carefully scrape it away while sucking it out. What you don't want to do is allow it to spread.
