Ideal Surface

just dreamin... what would be the ideal surface to start an aquarium? let's say on the first floor (not basement) of a house with hard wood flooring? here are some thoughts as i dream.... what would you do or have done? i was just thinkin about it as i stare at the damaged crappy laminate flooring in our condo....

i. would you TILE on top of the hardwood, some sort of waterproof tiling? maybe create some sort of drain?

ii. maybe some sort of LIQUID CEMENT? maybe poured into a wood frame of some sort?

iii. some kind of PLASTIC MAT?

iv. rubber? does rubber smell after it gets wet?

polyurethane the floor with hellsman and it will seal it very well and its made for outdoor use so its indestructible .

I have my 150 on hardwood 1st floor. I have my sump in the basement so I have very very little spillage on the hardwood. The exchange of water is all done in the basement.
