Ideas for 60g cube

Hey everyone I have recently upgraded my 34g Solana to a 60g cube. Right now it is stocked with a pair of occ clowns, a firefish, one tailspot blenny, a citron goby, a peppermint shrimp, and a few sexy shrimp. I am having a hard time finding good occupants for a cube tank that would get along with my current stocking list. I am running mostly LPS right now in it with only a few small SPS frags if that will make a difference. Any suggestions or help are appreciated.

Those were actually two of my first choices but I was afraid the Midas wouldn't like my tailspot and the wrasse would destroy my shrimp.

It kinda depends on what kind of wrasse you are getting some will not be 100% reef safe and sexy shrimps are good to have.

Are McCoskers wrasses sexy shrimp safe usually. I really like their coloring. I'm also considering a royal gramma but I'm not sure if it will get along with my current stocking list.

Blotched Anthias and a flameback or cherub angel. If you want a wrasse perhaps a flasher or maybe one of the Pygmy wrasses.

My possum ignores the sexy shrimp & so does everyone else in the tank. I tried a fairy & a flasher wrasses at different times & they never bothered the sexy shrimp either.

Unfortunately they are small enough to get through the overflow so I have one shrimp in the overflow, 2 made their way to the fuge, & another one is sitting on my skimmer pump. It's not worth tearing the sump apart to move them so I'll just let them stay where they are.

I have two sexy shrimp right now. They usually just stay in the skeleton of my hammers and frogspawns luckily. I keep hearing that wrasses can be hit or miss with them so that's why I'm second guessing future stocking plans.

I've read that a lot of the dwarf angels nip at corals, are the cherubs and flamebacks more reef safe?

I've known of both to nip here and there. Typically zoas and fleshy LPS (open brains, acans etc.) are more tempting to them. I'd rank them alongside coral beauties and flames though, as far as the risk level, far less than that of say, a lemonpeel, which are among the worst offenders. I have a love-hate relationship with cherubs, I love the look of them, with their round body shape, navy blue/deep purple coloration and varying yellow on the face, but they're one of the meanest fish I've kept. I had one that relentlessly attacked and harassed a small purple tang to death in my old 120g, granted they were around the same size, same color palette and similar diet, but he was far more brutal about it than I ever anticipated. Good luck :beer:

I wanted a dwarf Angel so bad, they're actually one of the first saltwater fish I wanted. Once I got started in reefing however I realized I love lps coral more haha. I might just go with some cardinals or other small fish instead of finding the elusive perfect fit.

Here are some great small reef-safe options (I have a 60g cube too :beer:)

* Basslets (chalk, royal grammas, assessors, Swale's etc.)
* Fang Blennies (kamohara, Smith's, striped, blackline etc.)
* Schooling Cardinals (longspine, red spot, margarita etc.)
* Pink-Streaked Wrasse (Pseudocheilinops ataenia)
* Possum Wrasses
* Fathead Sunburst Anthias (Serranocirrhitus latus)
* Fairy Wrasses (Naoko's, Lubbock's, yellowfin etc.)
* Reef-safe...ish filefish (radial, white spotted pygmy, matted, mimic etc.)
* Jawfish

I have a royal gramma that my LFS has been watching for me while i broke down a biocube, I'm debating taking it back and putting it in my cube. I might do that and then get a wrasse of some kind.
