Ideas on Design a Frag Tank

I need some ideas on setting up a 20 gallon long frag tank. Buy the egg crate this weekend. I how last to design with two shelves. I will be fragging zenia.

The tank canopy is houses (2) PC retro fixture. 65 watts each. With one 4" cooling fan.

Ideas on plumbing and filtration.

With this size tank, I probably wouldn't use a sump. Maybe use a HOB skimmer with a HOB mini-fuge. Throw some live rock in the fuge and that'd probably work. Are you handy with acrylic?

Sound like good idea. Do you have a link from that skimmer/refugium. I am pretty hardy. What did you have in mind?

Reefcorner,
There are a lot of pre-made HOB fuge/skimmers like CPR's. Just take a look at one and go from there with your design. If you could get the dimensions of a CPR Backpak, just imagine adding another chamber to it for holding live rock/microalgae's/DSB. I have one but would like to implement a more efficient skimmer, like a mini-needlewheel instead of a plain venturi.

I think I have some photos in my gallery of my Backpak, i think it shows how I used the last return chamber as a mini live rock fuge... LOTS of sponge grew on the small chunks of live rock i put in there.

I've been thinking about getting a 33 long tank and making a frag/reef tank of it, using T5 HO for lighting. With a 12" or less deep water column, it wouldn't take much light!
