If Cipro doesn't work on Gig or Mag, what is second choice Medication?

You can

You can

Try Doxycycline

Both Cipro and Doxy are broad spectrum antibiotics that are used to kill off some very serious nasties. I mean very nasty stuff like biological warefare stuff and its only 55 percent effective against that.

If they dont work the anemone is too far gone.

I would use Septra DS one tablet each day for 10 gal.
I actually use this now as one of my anemone did not response to Cipro. I am about to do a write up but will post this weekend. He seem to response to it. i would not use it first but if not improve with Cipro change to Septra DS.
Each SEPTRA DS (double strength) Tablet contains 160 mg trimethoprim and 800 mg sulfamethoxazole

Is there any documented result showing that antibiotics help suffering gigantea?

Randy,
There is no control study. If you read the thread on Cipro, and read my thread on how I use Ciprofloxacin to treat my anemones, then you can decide if there is enough evidence.

I have tried for 12 years and not able to get a gigantea to live. In the last 2 years, with Cipro, got many Gigantea to live. I got 7 at this time included got all 5 of my Gigantea from Petco to live.
