If I had to do it over again I would have invested the money I've spent on tanks, fish, etc. over the last 30 years in Apple stock and retire by age 50.
LOL, be careful !!

herbie drain instead of single pipe. this sometimes makes me wake up in the middle of the nightalso, im going to dump that sandbed with macroalgae in my fuge, it sucked up nutrients and now releases them. i will just grow frags in there.
great thread
Research yes, I've decided to go bigger, I really wanted a DSA 105 before and came right back to it. taller stand for sure, at least the tank is shallow enough that I could get close to the bottom, better with tools, my plan is a 42". Thanks.
I am setting up a 550g 42"tall I know I'll enjoy the viewing however I'm sure at some point I will curse the depth for cleaning. I would probably still buy it again though as I think the inconvenience will be worth the view.
tank is 7' long x 3' wide and 42" tall
:headwally:I forgot one as well. Place my stand and tank at least one foot to 18 inches away from the wall, so I can wallk behind it and access everything.
