oh...and that would be the diameter of the skeletal structure...not the polyps, right? I think the sativa micros bulge out to 3/4"

Cool Nick :)

Donavan
Per size it is the measurement of the skeleton many micros Buldge very large like PPE Green Goblins ie: Sativa But the skeletal ring is sub 8mm :) (Usually) ... and Truley Even that definition is less than perfect and thus the controversy... But micromussa simply appear a certain way LOL the definition is more of a guideline... I dont believe that Vernon had seen the Aussie micros when the definition developed

Sativa also grows LIKE A WEED! NO acan grows like that LOL

I send soo many of those bouquets out you would have to send me a pic and I could tell you which is which ;)

What kind of camera is that Sara? Looks great!

Thanks! It's a Canon 30D with a Sigma 180 Macro lens. I'm ashamed to say I've had it for a year and just have not used it!

Sara VERY nice Pastels! Get some more pics of your other colonies.. I would love to see them through the eye of that camera :)

Bdimas Love the color contrasts in that one Sweet

I would love to post my other 13 Micro's, but due to my bow-front tank and their position in the tank, that's unfortunately not possible. Anything I want to photograph has to be moved to the front of the tank. I won't ever do another bowfront tank! In below photo, all my Micro's are on the far right front rock. It looks extra cluttered on the sandbed as I moved everything up front for the photo session. This is my 92 gallon corner tank.

Oh sweet!~ :) Very nice sized growth there

How long have you had it?

Thanks,
Glad you like it. I've had it now for close to a year. It started out with 4 polyps and a baby. I did frag it once and took maybe 10 polyps off it for a friend. Since then I decided not to touch it and let it grow. Right now it probably has close to 50 polyps all the way arround. Here is a pic when I got it. I wish I could get the color back but different lighting will do that.

To get your colony to grow large- are you guys letting it build its own skeleton or are you putting it on a rock and letting it encrust it?

Thanks
Brian
