One of my baby damsels died this morning or last night and i found these guys in the breeder net which i kept him in. I have bristle worms which i know i have but im ok with but im not so sure what this guy is. Help on giving this thing an ID is much appreciated!

yes you do!
Actually, they look like common bristle worms, but we're splitting hairs.

Congratulations - they are a normal part of all marine tanks - they clean up the leftovers (including dead fish) Unless they get real big, leave them be.

+1 they are harmless detritus eaters.

The coral eating species typically have unmistakable large tufts of bristles such as in the bearderd fire worm, Hermodice carunculata.

Thanks guys. As i had said before, im not worried about bristleworms, i was just use to seeing the longer/skinner 2 toned ones

What a relief!

Deez guys didn't kill ya damsel--dey was just takin' care a da' body.

i never said they did :spin1: i just said i found them near the body. I checked the corpse and it seems i took the sucker out before i let the worms have a chance of eating breakfast
