I'm at a loss right now??

So my diamond goby went carpet surfing and I found him next to the tank today. I bought the brs screen kit because one of clowns jumped ship a few days into my tank build. Unfortunately with all my equipment hanging on the back I had to pull the screen forward for clearance. I left the excess screen on the back so I could drape it over the back of the tank. Any suggestions for what I can do?

I'm about to give up on this 29 gallon , buy a 40 gallon breeder and have it drilled for an overflow.

Another item that works well, but not good for light, is plastic needlepoint canvas (Michaels). I do my smaller jump shields with that. It cuts with scissors, stitches with fishing line...you could also improve your coverage with what you've got by doing some freehand weaving with a needle and fishing line, over and under.

This why I built my canopy. Had screens on my previous tank, worked very well till I forgot to push it back in place and lost my chalk bass and diamond goby.

Flippers, do you have a canopy build thread? I was considering doing one once I bought my lights for the tank. I'm leaning toward the radion xr15 pro right now, but I need my skimmer first.

Yes, look for "125 canopy teaser pics" in the "SLASH" forum here on RC. Using my phone and don't know how to copy the link. Sorry.

I made an acrylic bracket that fit around the obstructions in my overflow from 3/8" acrylic that slips into the window screen frame.

As of right now I just used extra screen and zip tied it down in the back of the tank. Once I get my hob skimmer and light setup I'm going to do a more permanent solution. Thanks everyone!

I'm pretty sure BRS has a Screen kit that isn't as taxing on your lighting

Yes they do and it's a good kit to cover the aquarium in general, but it won't cover all the little gaps at the back of a tank that uses HOB equipment.

i have glass panels with a clear plastic strip on the back, it's about 3 inches wide. I don't have any HOB equipment but I just trimmed small pieces where the cords from the power heads come out. I do have to clean them once a month because they get some salt creap on them but I just rinse them in warm water and it comes right off.

Great idea, is egg crate just light diffuser? Where did you get your egg crate from?
It's used in air conditioning for return air grilles in systems that use the ceiling space as a return air plenum, typically buildings fitted with ceiling tiles, such as offices and shopping centres.

Talk about losing a fish. I lost a $150 blue jaw trigger. Will always use brs net kits with drilled overflow from glass-holes now. It looks nicer anyways
