I'm done with acros, for now

Well I've come to the conclusion I need to hit the breaks, let my tank do its thing, and learn more.
A couple months ago I had a Millie frag RTN, then I watched my tenius colony fade from glory to just white, then I had another acro frag RTN out of the blue this weekend. ? My montipora, birdsnest, and all my LPS are doing well. I think I will stick to the easier corals while my tank matures and I learn to understand it better.
I'm wondering about my tenius has lost 99% of its color and has little to no PE. How do I know if it's done for? Is there any harm in leaving it in the rank and hoping for a miracle?

Nick,

since you are just starting out it is best to not do acros for a little while. I would take out all of the acros including the birds nest (give it to a friend or something) and leave your tank without any acros for at least 3 months to give yourself time to get your parameter incheck and to get rid of any acros pest you might have. In the mean time get your lps and zoas to do well in your tank first.

SPS is definitely more challenging. I've over lit my tank, LPS didn't seem to mind but lost/burned some SPS. The foam between the baffles in my sump got clogged with sponge which made the water level drop in my return causing that pump to pull in some air which blasted one of my frag racks with micro bubbles, again LPS didn't seem to mind that much some SPS on the other hand is showing signs of tissue loss. But live and learn :D

Overall tank kicks a$$ :D
