IM Filter Socks

I have the 25 lagoon which has the two filter socks.
How are you guys cleaning these and how often?
Doesn't seem like you can do much outside of rinsing them in the sink?

I will probably replace one side with a media tray eventually but for now I'll continue using both socks.

I tried to blast mine with a hose a few times but they are tough to clean real well. I ended up buying a few more but I think I will just switch to the in tank baskets soon.

I use IM filter socks on my 75. Change them out every 4 days or so, wait till I get about 5 socks piled up then throw them all in the washer. Hot water, small load, normal cycle with 1/4 cup of bleach. Wash again on a rinse cycle then air dry, been using the same socks for over a year and they are still going strong.

This is what I would have done with "normal" socks, but these have all that plastic framing, and the material of the socks seems different. So I wasn't sure about the whole washing machine thing. The cool thing is our office has a washer and dryer.

But they came with the thing and I don't have anything else at the moment. I suppose I could cut some foam block to put there instead of the socks. Hmmmm....
