anyone have any new on who has an osomolator in stock? I ordered one from marine depot three weeks ago and they sid they were back ordered for three weeks. Well three weeks is up and they are say another three to six weeks.

i really need one to finish up my installation on my new 30 cube project that i plan to stock next week. I was hoping to have it up and running with the osomlator before i stocked it.

Is the 30 cube going to have a sump? If it isn't and the osmolator was going to be installed in tank you do not want the Osmolator, they do not work very well as an intank unit and you should instead get the Osmomat which is in stock. If you will have a sump and want an Osmolator the factory knows I have an urgent need for them. For the entire year only 14 have come in out of the 100 I ordered so we are quite behind. No one will have them as the issue is the lady that was in charge of assembly was very ill and only recently returned to work, a new person is in training to assisst her, hopefully the remaining units will arrive soon but there simply are none available.

Hi Roger, Yo have helped me before getting my geisemann nova II, btw thanks! What an awesome fixture!!!!!

I do have a small sump under the tank.

What exactly is the difference between the osmolator and the osomat?

If you will have a sump the osmolator is the way to go. The osmomat incorporates the osmolator in a small box to buffer the sensors from waves and magnify surface changes. It is not a good choice for a system with a sump.

Hi Roger, I thought you had said something similar about 2 weeks ago (re. delay). Do you have a realistic estimate about when they will be available? I have one on backorder w/ premium aquatics and they said they have not received any word from Tunze(you?) re. when they'll arrive.

Thanks!

Thanks-- much appreciated. I'm going away at end of month and will need to cancel my order and find another top-off solution if this doesn't work out by then.

seba1- can you either PM me your name or ask Marine Depot what place you have on there list. I have some coming but not a ton by any means- it will all depend on how far down the list you are- top 2/3rds and you are in good shape.

Roger,

I did not buy from Marine Depot, I bought from Jason at Premium Aquatics-- are you sending some his way? If you were not planning on it, could you? I'd _really_ like to get one before vacation.

Anything else feel free to call me at # below
Thanks!

Sebastian,

I got you covered, you are at the top of the list and I spoke with Jeremy and we got it arranged. The osmolators left Germany this morning, but just a handful of them. It generally takes 5 days to get them here and cleared, then a further 3-4 days to get to Premium. Weekends of course don't count because the shipping companies don't work weekends. When you get it hook it up immediately, wash the optic sensor under warm water with a bit of soap, this will help remove the hydrophobic property of new plastic and get it broken in. After that the only other thing is make sure you have no bubbles in the area it will be installed. It is a smart system but can't tell the difference between air and a bubble stuck to it so this is very important and we will need to get it troubleshooted ASAP. I have only seen one defective Osmolator in over a year and 300+ units so I feel pretty certain you will have no trouble if you follow these recommendations.
