I'm looking for surge box ideas.

I'm in the early stages of a tank build and would like to add a surge box to my plans.
I've seen some ideas but they are several year old threads. If there has been any newer ideas that you know of please let me know.

How about some more information? What's your budget? How big is the tank? What kind of space do you have? Any drawings or photos you can share?
