I'm married--I can't just keep buying bigger tanks.

I'll buy some of them if you want. I need to fill up my tank and most lfs in Roseville/Sacramento do not have any colonies as big as yours.

Great. I hope to get threads started on the "Livestock for sale" and MARS forums here in a little bit. Check there and see if there is something that catchese your eye...

I'll check the mars forum for your sale. Btw, you could see my system with pics on the tank tour thread at the mars forum. You could see I have a lot of room for corals since my current system was setup recently.

I can really appreciate your post. For the past several months to a year, my interest in my tank was lost. I always wanted a tank full of SPS. I started with frags and grew them into large colonies. The flow was bad, and algae problems "bloomed". Recently, I tried to do some maintenance and ended up pulling out TONS of coral. I won't say how much cause I don't want to get flamed, but it was enough to give some reefers a stroke. Anyway, I upgraded my tunze pumps and my tank is much more open. I am happy with the reef again.

you've got a very nice system to be proud of man! but sometimes you just gotta do some clearcutting :D.

Well, I am really glad I started this thread. Thanks to the advice I got here, I have been able to sell quite a bit of the overgrowth in my tank with local sales, and it is really pretty easy. There are a few caps that are so overgrown in my tank, however, that I doubt I'd be able to sell it all and will probably wind up throwing some of those out, but hopefully that will be minimal.

Your current tank description says you have a "heavy bioload". What is your current stocklist?

Phenomenal tank by the way!!!

Thanks for the compliment....Let's see, 1 yellow tang, (1 blue tang that was recently moved to HT due to a skin disease that is probable HLLE--If you want to see a helacious looking fish, visit that thread! http://reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2141005 ), 1 sand sifting goby, 1 lawnmower blenny, 1 percula clown and large rose BTA, 1 fire fish, 1melanaurus wrasse, all of which are large/mature size. I also have a pretty extensive clean up crew, which do clean up, but also create some waste of their own. I don't think the maxima clam would be contributing to the bioload...

I wasn't sure what was considered a 'heavy' bioload, so a few years ago I started a thread asking that question and that was the consensus, that my bioload was heavy. I don't think I have had many changes in livestock since then.
