Skwirl is a freak when it comes to skimmers...
Some people sit with red flashlights looking for pods - ok
Some people feed only to get their gobies to come out (me)
Some people like to watch "tiny bubbles" hours on end.... that's just strange, especially with 3 fish in a 155g.
He still hasnt made an IMPORTANT announcement (hint, hint)

95g zoa: Aqua C Pro with Mag 3 pump. I know I know. I was on a budget, it got decent review, and fit in my sump. It pulls out toothpaste skimmate, just not much but I only have 2 clowns in there. I added an airstone today to see if I get more.

I like them all for the tanks they're on and the current stock list... I'm thinking of upgrading from my g4x to a Deltec though... Have to save up though!!!!!!

ct, you should really try it before you spring for the deltec.. it wont do as well as a deltec, but i think one of these pumps might keep you from feeling like you need to spend the $600 or better(probably better) you would on the deltec.

Melly~ You have the same one as I do... The g4x... The g4 is 24" and has a sedra 5000... The g4 plus has the sedra 9000, but is only 24"... The g4x is 30" and has the sedra 9000...
skwirl~ I'm your huckleberry... What kind of pump you looking to try out??? Is it mesh modded??? You want me to try it on the g4x or the g3??? I've thought about modding the g4x, but thought I'd just go ahead and sell it and do the Deltec... Still not certain...

I have always thought most reefers think their skimmers are the magic bullet (and they are to a certain degree) but am always puzzled at so many threads that discuss the downfalls of their skimmer.

its the octo 3000, and its mesh modded, and has a diy venturi. i need to put a valve on it to restrict the air slightly, but you can try it on both. i did a complete meshwheel on it. no nw impeller. i have 2 of em, and one is on my euroreef cs8-2. i did the recirc mod on it sunday, and man the difference is unbelievable.

im not "good" at skimmer mods, but they are so easy that the hardest part of doing them is getting over the fear of actually doing it. if you want to, we can get together, and do whatever mods you want to. i have mesh, hole saws for the uniseals if you wanna do the recirc mod(which is so worth it on any nw skimmer imo" and anything else you wanna do, we can figure out together.
hey ct.. when do you wanna try it out? im anxious to see what others think of this pump.. im so happy with it.
