Hi all,

I just want to give you all as much advanced notice as possible.

In the next few weeks, my wife and I are due to see the arrival of our first child and as such as i am sure you will appreciate my hands are going to be pretty tied up.

So in the first month at least I can not guarrantee such swift responses, I know most of you know i sit on here pretty much 7 days a week camped at the keyboard 24/7.

I will try and keep up with the dedicated support as much as possible, but if you dont get a reply as quickly it is not for any other reason than my hands full of smelly Diapers!

Seriously though - having a child is the best life changing event period. Every - love you dad or mum, smile/hug/kiss removes any naughty momement in a flash

PS take a Video camera for the big day. There were so many things I missed on the day.

Hmmm video camera, I can imagine the response right now ... something like this " you turn that thing on and you will be giving birth also!"

Michael, best to you and your wife. Hope everything goes well. Can i assume that this will be your first. If so I would highly recommend the video recorder. Not to record things you would show at a family get together. But carefully placed to record moments you both will cherish and you could share with your child later in life. I remember when our first came. There were moments that i wish i had recorded. My wife too, agreed. Even though she hated the idea now admits that there were thing she wished we had a record of. It certainly will be a moment you will not forget. The miracle of life cannot be explained to another man, but after you experience it you will understand.
Anyway, i'll leave you with a bit of advise the attending nurse gave me on our special day. "Neil, If you feel you're going to faint, make sur you fall off into the corner
where you won't be in the way!"

Thanks Neil, we were at the hospital at 5.30am yesterday, another false alarm!

Went and got good cam corder in the sales on the 26th (called boxing day here and in Europe) so can now film those glorious moments, but after the little one has arrived and been cleaned up (trust me any sooner and I would be kicked out)

lets just say, frustrated, she is camping out in there and holding the odd party also!

soon you will be getting I want this baby out now! It will get a little hot in there soon lol

ahhh the pleasures having a family - but as i said wait for the first look of your new baby and wham it all goes away.

My kiddy was 2 weeks late and in the end she had to be induced to bring her out. She was bourn underwater - was great to get it all on camera.

Sit down 8 years on and it still brings a tear to the eye

Michael, Patience, my first was also late and the doctor decided to induce her on my birthday. Well lets say it was the best and last birthday present I have gotten since. Even my mom and dad rejoiced on my son's 1 st birthday and remembered a week later that i too turned a year older LOL! Neil

Little update for you

I am at present spending more time away from the support while we wait for our first child to enter the world, she is now 4 days late

She has been given her marching orders for next Thursday.

In the meantime and for the next few weeks if you have any urgent tech questions please can you refer them to Lorin (kidney514) or Matthias, i will try however to fill in the gaps where I can.
