Have a price list and wow. Add shipping and documents and it adds up to about 50% off. Plus you need a fairly large order to make it worth it. Has anyone done this. I have a 180 that is 3 months old and planning on maybe doing an order in June time frame. It's getting shipped into Orlando. 5 hour drive for me. Was thinking disney trip the grab and go home. What do you guys think?

Not worth it, especially with the drive. God only knows what you will really get and in what state. You should count with high mortality. You need to order pretty big to make it profitable.

Transshipping can be very dicey. I wouldn't even consider it unless you had some solid references. These outfits are infamous for sending you the wrong livestock, DOA, you never hear from them again, etc.

You're flirting with disaster when you tranship. You definitely need to acclimate the livestock alot slower and you DEFINITELY want to quarantine the livestock before you introduce any of it into your system!

Haha very astute of you sir. I'm retired army now at 30 due to a helicopter crash. My tank is my baby. My baby got marine velvet. Ouch. Now I used to run an eBay small aquaculture business. Worked with these guys before but never pulled the trigger because of the blizzards in route to JFK where they would land stateside. You can pay another company to pick up your fish and get them to you closer but it was like -20 out so I just kept growing what I had. Oh and new place of residence. Panama City beach florida. God so many good times and lovely women. :love2:

Sent. Yea at least if you guys see this you get a better understanding of the actual costs. Thing is as others have mentioned. They could be a scam but offer a full refund if over 5% loss. Also non softies require cites. So more fees and documents.

let me know how it goes, prices are extremely low on the list, its like a 1000 percent markup getting stuff from LA/DD sps/colonies. The margins are pretty wide.

I can email the price list. Here are some teasers though. Remember there is 300 bucks in documents and processing.
Jordan's fairy wrasse
2961 15 0 Jordan's Fairy Wrasse Cirrhilabrus Jordani 358 40 $3.073

Just one example.

This should be a red flag actually. Cirrhilabrus jordani does not come from the waters around Java where this exporter is located. In fact, you won't find C. jordani within a good 3,000 miles of Java. Make sure you are using a reputable dealer (many/most are not), that you are prepared to absorb the mortality rate, that you have the facilities to acclimate and QT a large number of severely stressed animals all at once, that you account for freight charges, and that you are very familiar with the customs/import requirements and process. If you're well prepared it might be worth doing, but there are good reasons so few private individuals bring fish in via this route.

Every coral that comes in through foreign countries neeeds a CITES permit. hard or soft coral.
That being said 2 things. all soft corals must be labeled with Scleractinia on the CITES.
All hard corals must be the correct species written on the CITES otherwise it is confiscated and a fine imposed of $500.00 per piece.
Things could get ugly real fast if a few corals are misrepresented on the CITES paperwork and manifest. ASK ME HOW I KNOW.

tell us your story, the link I posted above is for a company that imports into LAX, then he forwards the shipment to various airports throughout the USA. You have to go to your respective airport and pick it up from cargo. So the original importer handles the paperwork and pockets a premium (couple hundred or more). I think the packages are also opened and reshipped with appropriate heat packs and such.
