Improperly decompressed angel?

I picked up a small Multibanded Angel (straight from the bag) from my LFS and upon acclimated it and inspecting it from the side, it appears to have an infections stemming from either improper decompression or some other swim bladder related malady causing a slight swelling in the lower abdomen.

Does anyone have experience treating either or? Or are the treatments one and the same?

Antibiotics "sometimes" helps swim bladder problems. Also another technique that is used when catching deep water fish that have the "bends" if you will is to get a jar that you can make holes in with a tight fitting lid (holes for water exchange) then put into another aquarium or container or tall water filled PVC pipe 24-36" deeper than the aquarium the fish came from for at least 48 hrs. Again this works for fish who were decompressed improperly when being caught. Being that I'm not sure if you live on the coast and the fact you took the fish home in the bag it was sent in, this probably isn't the cause of your issue
