In tank Fuge

Thanks for your help - So I am NOT going to put cheto in my sump-or in my overflow I have no room for a normal fuge so I am going to try the CPR In tank fuge

So when I set it up in my tank -should a put live sand in it with the cheto Or just the cheto?
It is small only 7 3/4 L 4" W 7 3/5 H
Now my hippo wont be crapin cheto strands


Has anyone used this in tank fuge ?
