I dont think you are going to get a lot of support for a Tang in that set up. They really need a lot of length to swim, most of us here believe at least 6 foot.
just a warning- while they are not known for it, but in such a shallow setting they might jump. and agree with everyone here, it's too small for tang despite being shallow and wide.
Well it's 17 deep so the person who sold it it me had the #s wrong then. There's a very cavernous cave behind the rock. Also the distortion on it is pretty crazy, from the top there is 8 inches from rock to glass but looking through it looks like its right there
6' diameter by 17" deep is more like 300 gallons. if that is truly the dimensions, I would think your tangs would be fine. Although the sailfin gets large and high, the 17" will likely not be enough depth for that type of tang.
The last tang I saw in a tank like that was a purple and was means as they came and would spear anyone who put their hand in the tank to grab a frag. (Was in a frag tank at a store in Florida)
