In-wall 380gal tank - cut out options

I don't know why the crustaceans in my tank get so big so fast. Same thing happened with my arrow crab last year.

Now I have a monster red emerald and coral banded.

If they ever spar, it'll be like clash of the Titans!

Make to opening so that the water line does not show.

Hurry now

Thanks Marco. It's been a labor of two years with many failures... but it stands. :)

Failures no way.........

Mmmm glass floor house over a reef.... Insert gurgling homer sound here

Your money my Skills........ We be happy reefers .... Does your wife wanna go to . That would be odd otherwise.......

I know I am Bringing Bonnie and Mr Boy (Rusty the Persian Cat)

I am going to go back thru your diy rock work i want to do something like that to half of the bottom of my tank . Put sand in the front half and covert the back to follow the rock work.........

But just not got it started YET...

I'd do a few things differently on the rock work. Benefit of learning from my mistakes :)

I was too impatient. It worked out but I'd spare you the pain I endured with algae.

reading through all that was the best 3 hours of my life, and as intense as if it were my own build. Truly magnificent.

Great Job. You are my hero!

Wow. Thanks. I'm no hero- just very stubborn, umm tenacious :)

If my thread helps you make your reef experience better, then that's excellent. I love learning from other people's mistakes. It's so much cheaper than making my own new ones.

Thanks!

Here's my latest little addition

community likes the artificial rockwork and the surge too.

The pink coral is a satosa (montipora satosa). It's a low light coral and I haven't been successful keeping it in my ultra bright, ultra high flow tank in the past. So, I put it on the lowest rock I have and in the middle where it can get residual flow from the surge instead of main flow.

Its polyps are opening so I'm hopeful. It's supposed to have a wild growth pattern, encrusting, branching or plating all at once depending on light and flow.
