In Wall vs Traditional set ups

Buying a new house and have the opportunity to put my tank in a spot where I could use an in wall build via the garage. Looking for pros and cons of this vs just using the stand I already have.

The main issue for my wife is not being able to park in the garage. Using a vent to push fumes outside won't be enough, correct?

You haven't said where you're located so no-one here can address all the possible issues, but you will need to isolate the tank from the rest of the garage. Whether or not that will include insulation, moisture barrier, heating/cooling, etc. you can be sure that venting will be an issue.

I dont know if this helps, but I have an inwall through the garage. Pros is that is looks very clean almost like a picture. My cons are that I like the 3D aspect of tanks where you can look at all angles. Also I live somewhere hot so the garage get very hot as well and sometimes resulting in heating issues. Make sure when your doing in wall you have access to it from inside the house. It is a pain always run into the garage to feed the fish or do anything.

I'm in Florida and the garage will be hot most of the year. I assumed venting the garage and using a chiller would be a must

Then biggest issue I see with in wall builds is access for maintanence. I personally also like looking into tanks from more than one side. I do wish for an fish room someday, even the garage is better than none as long as you deal with the temp issues of a the garage

Why not putting the tank half inwall and seperate part of the garage with drywall as fishroom? So you have your fishroom for maintanence and your wife can park in the garage.
+ you can look inside your tank from more than one side.

In wall or not for sure do the fish room side of it in the garage. I like my garage space and in walls so I'm of no help.

you will have a lot of evaporation in your garage which could lead to other problems like rusting of items in the garage. I would consider building a fish room in the garage that is insulated and cooled with its own system.

+1

Failing that I think you would need to insulate and run a/c in the entire garage.
