Informal TDS poll

Around 120 here where i live in MI, at my old home in WI it was around 500 and my prefilters would be solid red after a few hrs of use.sure nice to be able to go 6 mos now on filters and DI.

I've found that I'm actually getting over 300 ppm readings (here in Omaha) after the water's been on for awhile. Some of the TDS must settle out of the water when its in the pipes, maybe? Its under 250 when I first start up the water.

My new RO/DI unit is knocking it down to zero, with an occasional reading of 1.

In your answers include Tap Water TDS, RO only TDS and RO/DI TDS. Those numbers tell you how effective your RO membrane and DI resin are. Without an RO number the info is only partially useful. Any good DI filter should get you to an indicated 0 TDS at least for a short period of time. The RO only is the workhorse of the system and determines how well things work and how long they work.
