I like the mods....I can't think of any better then you three:rolleyes:

How about you call the forum "the 909"

I think we need to get together at least a couple of times before we ask RC to do anything for us. If we can't form a core group then I think it not fair to ask them to take any extra time.

I also think that maybe we should all meet each other before we decide who should do what. After all many times what you see on the boards is not what you see in person.

As I said in one of these IE threads some months back, I'm willing to commit some of my time to it other than just the regular meetings/get togethers. It will take some time to form and come up with a "mission" if it's going to be a formal club. If its a group of reefers getting together then thats ok, but really will not warrant any time spend other than on the get-together days and really we can share the SCMAS forum (with their approval). I would go to the SCMAS meetings but I'm not ready to commit to that drive on a regular basis.

OK now, we have a few places to visit, I think it may be time to put out some dates. The date we choose will dictate who will still be able to participate, myself included.

As for the name, I think we should seek the input from some of the RC members from OC. I'm sure that would be good for a laugh or two.:D

Hey guys, glad to see this idea blossoming. I agree with Steve, where we should all meet first. Then we can decide the following:

1) Is this formal or for kicks? ( It can start off for kicks and grow into something more formal)

2) It would depend on the above, to know if and who should be held in positions of responsibility and organization to keep things in perspective.

3) As for a thread on RC, I once again agree with Steve. Good idea Surferdude, but let's see how things hold first. All these things and more can be discussed when we are hanging out together. Much easier and efficent in communiating I think.

4) Dates??

We can now add

zmust

Salt-Reefer

to the list. I believe that is 7 people. Where do we go from here? Is there more of you that would like to invite a bunch of nice, well mannered, extremely respectful people to your house? Voice it here. Come one come all!

The sooner the better!:D I'll bring some brewski's so we can talk tank for awhile!
Paul says he might drop by sometime this week. Maybe we can all hookup then.

I've got some webspace, and basic skills/tools for a webpage. What were you thinking of putting up?

I'm up for joining in on the 909 fun. My tank wouldn't be much fun on tour (Just a 10G nano, and only a month old).

No prob emar, eveyone welcome to come and get to know everyone in the area. A wealth of knowlege and experience here. Welcome aboard!

John,
Sure, I remember...I hope to have a truck load of kalk this coming weekend. If you'd like to come by and pick some up I'd love a cup a sand. If not I can maybe swing by one weekend on the way home from work. I know TC pretty well we lived their for a few years after we got married.

I'm still interested in participating. My tanks not worth a stop on the tour... in my opinion. But I'd like meeting everyone and learning. A 90gal is in the planning stages.... and budget hearings... etc.

Welcome aboard Smellsfishy and Marlinchaser! Just stay tuned for now, until we can agree on a date.
