Add me to the list of interested peeps. No tank stop, but meeting and speaking with others who share the same interests is always fun.

Just two quick observations/suggestions;

Maybe start with a different name than the ââ"šÂ¬Ã…"œ909ââ"šÂ¬Ã‚. As infamous and enjoyable as ââ"šÂ¬Ã…"œ909ââ"šÂ¬Ã‚ is, the new area codes are coming soon.

As a newbie to RC and after having only recently discovered the ââ"šÂ¬Ã…"œReef Clubââ"šÂ¬Ã‚ section, it might also be wise to put up a post under several popular sections, with a reference to this thread. This might also attract other I.E. people who do not know about this thread/club. A reference of this type will hopefully be left alone by moderators.

I vote for beer.

But then we must re-think this tank-tour idea. I know I can make it home but not sure if I can drive all over the 2-county area without getting an unwanted ride in the back seat.

Ejo... I think this is my schedule. As for the Saturdays I list, I just have to get home, eat, and unwind and try to get some sleep so I can get up at 1:45am Sunday morning. If I don't I can make it through the swap but it takes me 2-3 days during the week to recover.

Feb 28-29... No...SD
March 6-7...No...Pomona
March 14... No...LB
March 22-23... No...Pleasanton
March 13... OK but I'd be through by 5pm
April 11... No...LB
April 10... OK but I'd be through by 5pm
April 24-25... No...Pomona

This is not to say that I have to be involved this first time. As you can see by the above dates it's kinda hit and miss for me. This is my best time of year in the next 4 months so I must make my hay.

I'm available most weekends, sundays from 10-1 arnt good for me for the the next 10 weeks or so (puppy training).

I would also agree at this point a club would not work out, but would be cool to have a BBQ and/or a tank tour to meet everyone in the area.

Now looking back when I first started the thread, I may have jumped to the impression that it would be cool to hava a club of some sort. Now, it seems that, there really is not a need for one at this time. I may be wrong, but from the reading all the posts it just seems difficult for people to commit. I do think a BAR B QUE with people bringing something to trade or by is a start. Can it evolve into a "club" or "group" Yes I do believe it can. It will take time and effort. The more people that come out and get to know eachother. The better chances are. I will have a Bar B Que for all those serious and curious people. So far I am thinking of a "Cinco De Mayo" Bar B Que. These dates are available:

Sat May 1 and 8

Sun May 2

Any and all comments welcome. Let s do this! I am 30 minutes from Ranco Cucamonga and 55 minutes from Pasadena, just to give an idea Of time.

Thanks for "stepping up to the plate".

The only way to start is to set a date, see what happens and who shows up.

I'll be there May 1st or 2nd. If it's the next week I'm out as I have a show on Sunday the 9th and I need my sleep to get up at 1:45am. You are wise not to have it on Mother's Day but the promoters of the shows we do have other ideas.

I'll bring a package of burger patties from Costco if you wish or let me know what you would prefer.

I have 3 types of xenia, 2 frags of flesh tone leather, maybe a greenish leather if I get around to cutting it, some dull pink zoa, green zoa, orange zoa and your typical brown monti dig (at least in my tanks).

Also I'm sure Barbara (my wife) would like to come along but probably only if others are going as well. She likes the tanks but thinks there are other things in life of interest also. So for those who are "signing up" maybe let us know if there are any "outsiders" joining you.

I would also like to extend and encourage all to bring your significant others. I have way more than enough room here to accomadate you all.

Steve, to be honest I was hoping for it to be on the 1st or 2nd. I am sure we can encourage entertaining that weekend. Hopefully! This will be good for everyone else too.

As far as bringing food. The more the Merrier. I will make some "Homemade Salsa" ( 2 Kinds) "Spanish Rice" and "Chili Beans". I will also contibute some "Carne Asada" and "Marinated Chicken"

If any one want to bring Chips, Drinks, Potato and/or MAcaroni Salad, Paper plates, Forks, Cups, it will definately help out.

Me and my wife are looking forward to having you all up here.

it's a little hard for me to plan 2 months in advance, but id bring some beer and some food. something hopefully most can enjoy. i gave this thread a bump cause it "would be nice" to have a club hear but i agree a get-together is more feasible.
