hi PA, thanks again for the fast order and help!!
I have an issue with the inline TDS meter, I can't get it to stop leaking were the probes are inserted into the units ''T'' fittings
I've try'd 3 times, taking it out and reinserting it. any tricks you guys might know off?? its a very slow leak but a leak non the less.

John,

I've got the exact same issue. I've cut the tube's numerous times to get straight uniform ends but yet both ends still leak. Fortunately for me the line is over the my deep sink. But no matter it shouldn't leak!

Thanks for posting this.

Rigger

The only thing I could recommend trying is what Rigger said, recut the tubes very carefully without "mashing" them down while making the cut.

Let me know if you can't get it to seal up.

Thanks,
Jeremy

actually, its not the tubes but the probes. [can't cut those] its leaking on both probe inputs. just wondering if anyone had a trick to stop this or do I actually need another INLINE setup:(

Pull the probe itself out of the fitting. Then pull the inner gray piece out that is loose. You should then see a little black o-ring down inside the "T" itself. Make sure that A.) that piece is in there, and B.) that it is seated properly, and not "off" any way. When out go to put it back together make sure the probe itself goes in all the way, and is seated down in there as far as it can go, until it stops.

hi jeremy, the TDS METER is defective. its still leaking and in 3 places. I checked the O rings and they seem fine but it still leaks on both IN & OUT probes and one actually is leaking up the probe and out the top!. I left a message in the ''chat'' FORUM at PA.
I'll need a new one and can send this one back as soon as it arrives. can you send a pickup of the defective one UPS? or should I just toss it??

Jeremy,

My out probe fitting is the one that leaks, my in probe fitting is fine. My house water pressure is 90 PSI and my RO/DI unit is not assisted by any external pump. I tried what you recommended but with no success.

Any more suggestions??

Thanks,

Mike

Hi,

Sorry to hear about the problems with these units. We have sold a large number of these and they have done very well, so hopefully these are just some misfits.

Anyone that needs theres replaced, if they could email sales@premiumaquatics.com with your name and address we'll make sure you get a new one. WE are still waiting to hear back from the manufacture on whether they will ship out a replacement or if we need to use our stock. Most likely we'll need the units back, which we can do an exchange or advanced exchange where you buy one and then we refund you, so you don't have any down time.

On the ones with problems with the tube connectors, we can replace those too, but first might try John's Guest side to check and see if you connected correctly. Usually a straight cut is all you need and push them in, but never know. There install instructions start at
http://www.johnguest.com/makeconnect.asp

then you just follow the steps, 1, 2, etc.

Good news. We talked with the manufacture and they are going to ship us some new probes. They said they have had a few with this problem and it's not the fitting, but the probe. The good news is they won't need the bad probes back, so we won't need to exchange.

So just send us an email sales@premiumaquatics.com and soon as we get them in we'll mail them out.

thanks,

jason
