Innovative Marine INT 75 VS Waterbox 100.3 ?

Looking at the 2 in comparisons online, I'm leaning towards the IM INT 75 for a few reasons.

The Innovative Marine INT 75 comes with " Bean Animal " vs Waterbox using the Herbie style like Red Sea.

The stand is ABS aluminum vs wood on the waterbox?

Both look like they have low iron glass

Waterbox sumps do not have a Refugium on the 100.3 That is a big downfall for me.

Not sure on the Waterbox ATO ? I usually us Tunze 3155

I was thinking of going with the IM INT 75 with a Fiji Advanced sump

Any suggestions?

As an owner of both, cheap stands out to me in your statement. While I didn't have the funds to buy an elos or anything, the waterbox was a midgrade, plug and play system. I also prefer having most equipment match. Rather than the hodgepodge we see in everyday setups. I cant tell you alot about the ATO, but it seems to be working well. Not that I dislike the IM, but if you cost out the IM against the waterbox, I would like to see the totals and how much they differ. I suppose it comes down to cost and if you want to select each piece of equipment yourself. That should determine what tank you purchase.

I would have to dis-agree.

I don't see anywhere in either system cheap. Right now I have a brand new Deep Blue
65G Tank, corner over flow. I paid $240 for tank new, and built a stand for $80.00
I ordered a fiji Advanced 20 sump, so I have $600 into a new stand, new tank, new sump, half the cost of the IM INT 75.

I also dis-agree with matching equpiment and mis matched equipment.

I had a Red Sea Reefer, that I had to custom make a sump, with fudge, because that was inportant to me. This hobby is 100% customizable.

I prefer where I have control over the sump design, and a Proven ATO like the Tunze3155, rather then having a plug and play system. Been their, done that with the Red Sea, and changed out half their equipment underneath

I ordered the IM INT 75

I also liked the fact the top of the tank was at all most 60" vs the Waterbox at 54"

I just ordered it from BRS for $1,275.00 shipped to Florida

Thank you although I did hate to see the new tank that I had set up that never even saw water.

I loved the set up, however , after owning 3 rimless tanks in the past, it was hard to go back to a rimmed tank.

I'll follow up with a build thread on the new tank once it arrives.

I sold the tank, stand and sump today within 2 hours of telling a friend.

So I'll have more flexibility now when I order new sump for the IM INT 75

I attached a pic of how beautiful my build was coming along that I just sold. It was set up as a Herbie with the return line the main siphon, the overflow as the emergency, and the return went up over the back.

Sorry cheap was a reference to burritos comment. Not yours. Again, if your goal is to be custom, then you dont need a plug and play. I think you made the right decision as you will be able to do all the little things not achievable without overhauling major parts of the system

Looking at IM INT aquariums. Don't see a new build thread. How do you like your 75INT?
