Well I just picked up a nice LTA from my LFS. During the day Its open nice and wide love the thing,its sweet... My problem Is at night time It closes up and hides In my sand bed???? any ideas
Anemones typically shrink at night when there isn't light. Then when the lights are on they expand to allow their zooxantellae to be exposed to the light and manufacture food.
I would be a bit concerned that it is completely shrinking up into the sandbed each night. Sure it should get a bit smaller, but the only time any of my LTA's would retract into the sandbed was when it was irritated.
yeah I just picked It up two days ago. After an hour or so It opened real nice and my moon light really made It pop. I think Its still getting use to my lighting cycle.
