Hello,
I am now at the drywall phase of my sump room build. I have done a few of the simple sheets, and now I am getting to the pieces that require J-bead to butt up against the existing garage walls and masonry.
Can anybody tell me the best way to attach j-bead to drywall? I haven't been able to find any useful information online. The only information I found said to use 'nails or screws', but that doesn't tell me much. I tried nails, and its too much force for the edge, seems to cause more breakage than good. tried drywall screws, and the head of the screw didn't make it down past the jbead at all.
I also tried just using caulk, and this was probably the best results I got. anybody know the right way?
Also, the j-bead has a long and a short side. which side is supposed to be facing outwards?
