Interactions between SPS

Have you noticed that when you leave a frag of SPS touching your rockwork, come a day or two later, upon moving the SPS you will find a bright red piece of phosphoresces remains? It lasts a day at most but then disappears.

I've also observed that a pink birdsnest sitting very close to a green high lighter acro will pick up the same bright green along the stems nearest the acro. Again, it wont take, but fades away over a day.

Has anyone observed their SPS picking up colours?

I think the first reaction you're describing is an interaction with the coralline algae on the rock. I think it's the algae being killed off by the coral but im not positive. But yes I see these all the time in my tank as the SPS encrust outwards.
