Interest in B/W Oceallaris

Hey Guys --

I'm buying some fish from a a person that also breeds b/w oceallaris. She has some small ones now that are totally barred but are still coloring up, size is anywhere from 3/4 to 1.25 inches long. They would be about $20/fish max I think...less if I order more as that would distribute shipping cost more and/or lower price per fish (the more that are ordered).

Seems on L.A., they go for $50+ not including shipping so it seems like a relatively good deal. If you think you might be interested, please let me know here or PM and I'll keep you in the loop.

Thanks!

RJ, are their parents completely BW or with orange mouths? I'd get a couple if they are.

P.S.: Anyone looking for a couple of true percs? :D

Their parents are completely black and white and according to the breeder, their babies completely turn black and white as they mature.

Nice, I originally wanted two full b/w clowns but couldn't find any... When do you plan to place the order, because I have to find a new home for my current clowns first if I get two BW ones?

Nope, not yet. I'm thinking of having them shipped next week. Will send you a PM.

For anyone else interested, I can hold on to them for a little while, so if you want to get in on this, please let me know soon.

Stupid clowns. The 2 in my breeder are doing great. The 2 in my main tank are another story. Although they have not interacted with my nem they do swim around it but they keep going into my overflow. My overflow has the little piece missing from where the return came back into the tank before I changed the return to come over the back. They must like the ride to the sump because one follows the other. At this point I'm tired of fishing them out. I'll have to find something to block the half quater size hole.

All in all they look great and are doing great, thanks again RJ for setting this up.

Haha...good stuff. Glad to hear they are doing well.

Maybe some gutter guard could plug up the hole the little guys are using to take the ride down below. For whatever reason, that little story reminds me of that scene in "Finding Nemo" where the sea turtles are riding the EAC and screaming, "Righteous, Righteious!"

Got my two this morning. Thanks a bunch RJ, these little guys are great. Doing well in the Nano so far. Currently hosting my heater. lol.

What have you guys been feeding them? What did the breeder say to feed them?

She was feeding them Otohime (I think that's how you spell it)...she was going to include some of that too but she forgot to put it in...well I couldn't find it and found that they would eat pellets. I'll check the box again tomorrow...

I have the 1mm sinking New Life Spectrum pellets...they are just a tad big, so I just crush some up to make it a bit smaller and they eat that stuff up as soon as I drop it in. I also tried to give them some of that home made fish food we made a few months back and they ate the smaller bits...I'm guessing they will eat frozen baby brine too if you have that.

One of mine finally hooked up with the nem now I just have to stop the other one from pipe surfing. lol I hope when I take it out of the sump this time and it sees the other one in the nem, it will stay there also. I got the other one to stay with the nem by holding the net upside down over the nem the last time I had to release it from the sump ride. It had no choice but to swim through the nem to get out of the net and since then it has happily made the nem its home.

Looking good Nick! Tank coming along nicely. My pair is doing well, they love Spectrum pellets and brine shrimp. They will also eat small pieces of PE mysis.
