Interesting clowns from Thailand

They look like Clarkii or Polymnus snowflakes or something nuts like that.

I apologize. I don't read Thai either, but a friend of mine posted it on our local reef site.

To me, it looks like a mutation/misbarring of black variant of A. polymnus. I could be wrong. I'm waiting to see if he can translate the page for me...but apparently it is the most expensive pair of clowns that have sold. $34,000 for a pair?

They were bred in a clownfish farm in Thailand. Valued at 1 million Baht, which would make that about USD$29,400.

Captive bred variant of A polymnus. I remember seeing one of the probably ancestors of these fish - at that time, not that much white on the body yet but with the white saddle pretty much connected to the head bar. Kind of look like a polymnus version of the snowflake ocellaris.

I live in Thailand if theres two there will be more and the price will come down, and there will be a very happy breeder (rich). So maybe thay will also be on the exportlist soon. Money Number 1 here.

On the other hand show standard flowerhorn ciclids sell for 500000 baht so maybe these little beauties will stay out of reach

im gonna hold out until c-quest refines the "cotton candy OCs" (rumored this will be $1500 a pair)to a pure white clown.

then id like to get one and pair it with a naked OC, would make a nice contrast in a display.

id hold out price will drop on them soon enough and wait until a US based breeder has them less shipping stress especially with that kind of money envolved.
