Interesting frag plugs

Yes, I like the hollow stems, though in the picture the material looks possibly a bit crumbly when they crush off the stem with pliers. I would still use my fragging shears on them. I'm working on perfecting my aim with flying plug stems. ;)

I see how the hex shape allows closer placement of plugs on a rack. That should help with spreading zoanthid mats growing out and mounting themselves onto easily detachable plugs.

Why would you want to use that? by the time the rack is filled up, there will be no gap in between the plugs for flows and easy handling. Even if you are spreading Zoas I am still don't see the benefit.

I like those plugs especially for zoas/palys. Yes, you are right about flow Tom, but with a frag rack I'm sure you can position it to get what ever flow you prefer. Rather than taking shears out to cut the plug you can take an exacto for zoas/palys and cut between each plug. The goal in my mind is to get one head on the neighboring plug. So in two months if you can get a head on each of the 6 neighboring plugs that's awesome LOL

They do look cool but because of the angles you could only put them in rows. You would not be able to build a solid table out of them. It looks like in a 4x4 square area you would only be able to fit 5-6 plugs

The frags could be smaller hexagons to fit better. I still have to try my hand at it.

Maybe we should do a session to teach how to make frag plugs.

That's called lazy fragging lol ...

If that's what you wanted in the first place then get a nice big flat with precut lines so you can just snap off a nice piece when the corals spread.

But then you'd have to take a chisle to both the zoa tissue and the "underlying" chocolate bar.
(I hate breaking up a "precut" chocolate bar, never breaks along the lines I want)... hahaahahaha

I'm all up for lazy fragging. ^_^

But I do want to learn how to make my own frag plugs. Let's do a meeting on that!!! And let's do a tutorial on how to make them. And everyone can pick some up at the next meetup.

We'll make chocolate bars, twix bars, hershey kisses... mechwarrior hexagons (sorry, don't know a candy that uses hexagons)
