Interesting LED bulbs

I get manufactures wanting us to sell thier products on a daily basis. A few days ago and interesting one hit my desk.

A 5W controllable LED with a screw in socket. This would make replacing blown units a breeze. I think I'm going to order a sample of 20 or so and see how they work.

what is the price tag for this LED light?

Preliminary is looking like about $25ea

Which compared to the par38's @ $115 shouldn't be too hard to swallow. Problem is it will take 4 to get the same output. so them we're at $100

They also make some 18W bulbs but are not controllable, with bulbs like this we could do something like the Solaris and have a very wide spectrum of color over the tank.

They may be great for moonlighting with the different colors.
