Internal Parasite

The last few days my regal angle was being very reclusive and hiding in the corner of the dt. Despite all fish going through quarantine with prazi treatment it appears an internal parasite has entered. The course of treatment will be NFP PARA-X food soak for 5 days. First time using this product so Im curious how it will work.

This morning she had long stringy poop.

I have ParaX but have yet to use it. How is it going? Do the fish eat the food?

Try getting some API General Cure. It worked for me when my 2 Clown got an internal parasite. But since your tank is so big you will want to get her out anyways. The API stuff just gets added to the water. So you wont have to worry about her needing to eat. After a couple days in that she should start to feel well enough to eat. I was lucky enough to catch and treat my clowns before they stopped eating. Good luck and I hope she pulls through. Keep us updated.

Like I said earlier, all fish had prior treatment with prazi pro, some also got metro. I can't risk turning off my protien skimmers for one fish. It would be a last resort treatment.

I called to see what's in the PARA-X and normally an overworked/grouchy lady that knows her fish meds answers, this time I got the shipping guy and he had no idea. He did recognize my last name because he's shipped me so many packages lately lol - I also ordered some PARA-X. For the record, I once inquired about the active ingredient in DE LOS and she wouldn't tell me, just said it's not formaldehyde.
