When i got mine from them it smelt like mildew a little bit. had a few sponges/coral still alive. only took two weeks to fully cure in a tub. They ship it bone dry in a black bag inside a cardboard box. No styrofoam. It wasn't to bad though for the price, but i will only buy TBS from here on out. There reef cleaner package is a good deal though. I talked him down to $30 for the 10 Emerald Crabs and 50 Blue Legged Hermit Crabs package.. I ended up with about 14 emeralds, and 60 hermits.. Took all of the extra to LFS. Hermit he used are from Big Al's, and all live stock was in great condition. Not a single dead one.
All in all, if I was doing another brand new tank, and wanted some cool looking rock, and didn't mind doing a cure.. I would split it between IMF and TBS.
P.S. There rock is very porous, and interesting looking. TBS you need at least 2# per gallon. IMF maybe 1#-1.5# per gallon. Make sure you scrape off alll dead stuff on the rock when you get it, and like I said... It might smell like mildew a little.. But then again it was going from Flordia to Alaska and took 2 days.
