Here is a pic from when I first put the 7 RBTAs in my nano. Since then they have split and almost 4x the size in the pic. They have taken over my nano and I have bought another tank and its cycling now. I transfer all the larger ones over to it. I'll try and post updated pics tonight.

thats.......freakin awesome! real nice tank. I love species tanks or themed tanks they seem so much more natural. :) love it

Just wait until I upload the updated photos. They REALLY take up the entire tank. The biggest one is about 8 inches fully open!

i love your true percs, they look beautiful. can u really put 7 anemones in a nano tank? lol, maybe take a couple out so u got more tank space.
how many gallons is ur nano? i guess if theres no corals/space for the anemones its ok.

To answer your first question, it is a 12g JBJ. They were not that big nor that well fed when they were placed in there. They are doing better then I expected and have been in there for just about 6 months. I recently purchased a 24g JBJ because I was so please with the smaller one. The bigger ones will be tranfered to the 24 and then to my 75 when they get to big.

To answer your second question, the clowns do host the anemones and change between the three largest ones. I plan to transfer my Picassos to the 24 when its ready and possibly get another nano for my Onyx.

That was the goal, to have a "Sea" of RBTAs. I hope to some day have enough to have that same effect in about a 200 gallon cubed tank.

Well went and moved some of the RBTAs to my larger nano. Low and behold I found the largest one had split and was shocked just because how big it had become. The downside is I forgot to take a current pic before I removed 4 of them but believe I have a pic somewhere. Just need to locate them and along with my camera cord. I will post as soon as I locate them.

Awesome! I was up to 8 green BTA's in my 29 gallon. My poor clowns seemed almost confused. The dominant clown tried to keep the others away from all the BTAs. She seemed exhausted at the end of the day. :)

Thats is gorgeous....now let me be real....I AM JEALOUS AS H@LL.

How did you get them to split, feeding, lighting cycle, etc...I could never get my BTA's to split.

Well I have had good luck with them splitting when I had them under MH and have GREAT luck with them splitting under PC lighting. I feed them about once a week and do a weekly water change. Im getting my camera cord tommorrow that way I can post new pics.

I had a JGJ 24 with a breeding pair of black occells....while on vacation the tank blew a corner (from top to bottom). JBJ told me I was outta luck.....and so were my hardwood floors...

Love the clowns & RBTA's. :D Nice looking tank.

Cheers

Thanks Grunt, sorry to hear about your issue. I know the feeling my hot water heater busted and flooded my livingroom which has wood flooring. I had to sell my 300 this past weekend that way the crew could start on the new floor starting Tues.

New 24g when I first put the RBTAs in. The 2 at the top are from clones from the same parent anemone and were under VHOs.

Got a new camera and will post some sweet pics tonight. The RBTAs love the new tank and hopefully getting ready to split again.

Absolutely gorgeous...if they keep splitting happily...

I mean, if one somehow found its way into a bag of water that tipped over and fell into a styro, and that fell into a box, which was accidentally picked up by UPS and delivered to my apartment, I wouldn't complain.
