iPhone 4 vs 4S?

I have come to realize that cell phones are disposable. Literally buying a new phone more often than socks and shoes. Not that I am very much into the hobby of collecting or upgrading but they all fail at one point or other. I do most of my office work on the go while on the phone. With wet hands for 10-12 hours each day. So sometimes I break them too.
Last time I got the DROID bionic. Its got a million problems. My wife has an iphone 4. It works pretty good but I am not totally impressed. Have been thinking of going to 4s. Most people I know with them love it. So far my absolute favorite smart phone has been DROID incredible, although I had it replaced 3 times.

Anybody remember Motorola startek? Now that was a phone build to last.

Ha!!! I looooved the StarTek!!!! That badboy made it through a cpl yrs in my nail bags back when I was framing houses!

Just got my 4s. Haven't juiced it up yet. Looking forward to toying with it. Wife wont tolerate my distraction this weekend, so I'm waiting til Monday.

It's like learning a new language, or dialect at least, but so far I like it.

"Siri, I need to hide a body."

Siri:Where would you like to hide the body? Metal foundry? Quarry? Funeral Homes? etc...

Pretty funny. Give it a try.

Anyway, I can't get this GD thing to link to my iTunes on my desktop. Any tips? I plug it in and it doesn't recognize a new device for me to add to my account. How can I get this thing synced so I can transfer my music over? Thanks.

as much as I love apple I agree with Andy on the itunes SW needing some improvement. Wait until you have two on a Windows machine and try to use them from the same login....

in answer to your question I had a similar issue a while back, I believe this is what took care of it:

NOT HAPPY!!!!!! Bad enough I'm on call for 48 hours new years eve AND new years day, but now my GD brand new iPhone has decided its microphone doesn't want to work. I can hear people fine but nothing comes across to the listener. I've done NOTHING with the phone. Hasn't been dropped. Hasn't gotten wet. NOTHING! Working one minute, not working the next.

Anyone have any idea what it's like to be on call without a cell phone???? It ain't good. Of course it's a holiday so they're closed!!!! I love my life right now.

Can you forward the calls to your wife's phone?

Sorry to hear, apple will replace it for you right away. Make sure to plug in the phone and back it up on iTunes.

I was falling in love with this thing, but all of a sudden it's making my life quite difficult. Not a great start.....

Just came from Verizon and apparently there is a 1% chance you will get a "bad" iPhone. This store alone says they've sent back an entire batch of them. As many as 30 phones. Now that's some super endorsement isn't it?

Cully-

I'm sure Apple will get you fixed up. Or Verizon should get you fixed up, should Apple fail to.

They were pretty flexible when I had my iPhone 4 swapped out a few times.

I would have waited for the 4G iPhone 5 or if you're in a rush stuck with a Droid 4G phone. I've had my original Incredible and it's everything I need it to be. The only downside is that it is not multi banded to be able to use in foreign countries with GSM which I've been needing recently. Also the one bad thing about apple in my mind is that it's not open sourced and flexible for coding. Yes good and bad.

Sorry to hear about the iPhone issues since my contract is up mid Jan.

still need help with this? I've worked for AT&T for 4 years, and i'm a junkie when it comes to this stuff. let me know if i can help!
