iPhone App

I think the new version of iPhone App requires an update of the AC firmware. See the thread about the AC firmware for links to the latest version.

The next iphone app uses port uses the http port (default is 80) to access the controller. Not telnet like the old iphone app used. Switch the port to 80 and it will probably work.

New version submitted to app store with some more new features like backups of timers/program.

This is a really cool feature. Where are you backing up to? Are you writing to the root filesystem on the iphone somehow?

i upgraded both the version of An om my iphone and the firmware of the ACIII and now my phone wont connect via the WAN all the setting were left the same. I can connect thru wifi. all is fine LAN wise. can anyone point me in the right direction?

router is set to forward all incoming requests on port 1080 to port 80

ACIII version 3.40S_5A09
Iphone version 2.2.1
Newest version of AN

Anyone knows what the orange circle to the left of the outlet name mean?
It is not red or green like in the other screenshot I see in this thread.

zigzag,
do you simply display the values for software and hardware version or does the app use it as a condition to do certain things? I currently set it to the AC Jr firmware version. The app seems to parse the status.xml file fine, and I know http post to cgi-bin/status.cgi works fine..

thanks

Don't quote me, but I think orange is unknown and I believe you need firmware 3.4

thanks for the reply. you are right it means unknown state.
the iphone is connected to my AC jr app, so I return the software version as the AC jr. firmware. Perhaps I should change that to the 3.4 AC3 firmware version. But isn't the status.xml something new in AC3 3.4? if so, the fact that the app is parsing the status.xml file should signify the AC3 the app is connected to is already 3.4?

ok, I found the problem, I was using the wrong tag name for the outlet state, I was using "value" instead of "state".

I'm only seeing the graphs plot data for the last day or so.

The datalog on my AC3 show data from 22 May. Anyone else having this problem?

AC3 is on 3.40S_5A09

thanks in advance

How are you looking at your AC3 log? If you are using a PC based AquaNotes then perhaps the AN is clearing the ACiii history every time it updates.

Take a look at the ACiii log through its web browser.

I never did see a graph from the iphone on the new version. Through the web page from a PC they look fine. The iphone graphs are blank. I am one rev back on the beta. I may try the new beta and see if it makes a difference.
