Will a 29 gallon tank be big enough for my hippo tang for about 2 weeks? He is about 5" long and has what I think is Ich so I want to get him into a hospital tank and treat him.
That's borderline IMO. It would probably work but something on the order of a 55 would be better. It all depends on how he adjusts to it. I would give him several places to hide (larger PCV pipe sections work well usually).
No. I wouldn't do it. You'll like just stress him out even moreso than he already is by moving him from a big tank to a teeny one. It'd maybe be a bit different if he'd been in a smaller or remotely similarly sized tank.
