Is feeding them everyday bad? i had a 6 polyp dendro which is eating like a pig for two weeks then suddenly i noticed yesterday one of the polyp is not eating and the tissue seems to peel off the skeleton. the other 5 polyps are fine. water parameters are NO3 - 5ppm. PO4- undetectable, PH - 8.2 Alk - 8-9 CA - 400
temp is 27 to 27.5 celsius. What could be the problem?

I would not feed that much. As you can see yours is possibly going through gut rot due to food unable to digest.
I only feed mine 2-3 times a week

What are you feeding them? Your parameters are excellent and, while they can be overfed, the tissue recession you describe does not sound like it's from overfeeding. Also; how much are you feeding them?

I have read about gut rot too and it seems quite plausae in this case IMO. I agree feeding every day is way too much if you are feeding larger foods like mysis, brine, chopped seafood or pellets. 1 - 3 heavy feedings per week is all you want. They won't starve as I've seen them go 2 weeks index with no harm.

Its OK to target feed small volume foods like fish eggs, cyclopseeze & zooplankton more frequently if you wish but should be interspersed with several days of no feeding so the polyps can eliminate waste. Remember that food & waste enters & exits from the same oriface so time is needed for digestion.
