I had the same issue a couple of months ago. I was getting conflicting reports as to the shortage. My dog's vet happens to have a marine aquarium and he was nice enough to do a little research and confirmed they had stopped production and I could not find anywhere online.
He managed to find a few sample pills which were out of date so he gave them to me for free. It worked well, only one treatment and the bugs were gone and have remained so for a couple of months. I only lost my pearlberry due to the bugs everything else was fine.
