I can't keep xenia either. I thought I was the only one! Too funny.

Laverda, how's the xenias we gave you?

Yinger, It is still alive but that is all I can say. :-( I should have put it in my nano. I have some Xenia in there growing and spreading. Maybe, I will move it today before it is too late. I am setting up a new nano cube in my office and will move everything from my 2 other nanos to it or my big tank.

WOW! How did that happen? It will not let me delete them either.

My xenia stay alive, but don't grow which I am happy with.. I think due to my excessively high alkalinity 11.5 I was having a few problems lately. A few frags in low flow have rtn'd on me. I just added 2 1500 seios, and along with my other 1100's that should be enough flow.

But it is now 9 so we'll see what happens.

My yellow polyps decrease in numbers if I dont directly feed them. I belive they require regular feeding inorder to multiply.

I cant keep fox coral alive...perhaps its because I only buy small frags of it?

no matter what the water conditions are, how well fed they are or even having good lighting.

For me, I have never been able to keep a plate coral, open brain, and candy cane corals.

These 3 will always die on me no matter how well I take care of them.

Dido...... SPS and softies including Xenia grow like weeds. the three aforementioned slowly die.

I was afraid Xenia was going to take over my tank, then one week after I upgraded my skimmer, it started to shrivel. Six months later, no trace of Xenia.

for me its montis all kinds plating encrusting branching.... none of them like my tank for some reason and i dont have any nudis ....

they just slowly bleach out on my hanging in there for a month then poof gone!

i also cant keep xenia i tried once and it just shrivelled up....
