How long has this Nem been in the tank? If it is newly introduced to your system they will tend to expand and contract to gain the correct internal balance! I'm no expert by any means and I am sure there are several other on this forum that can give you more advice. From what I see in the pic I would say that it looks to be normal behavior. Nems are sensitive to water chemistry, so you will want to make sure your parameters are correct. Continue to watch, I'm guessing your Nem will look different before too long.

Thanks for the response... its been 3 days and he is doing exactly what you said... I just hope he makes it back to healthy

Your anemone is a M. doreensis - aka LTA or long-tentacle anemone. It is a sand anemone in nature and will not be happy unless it is buried in the sand. Google "doreensis" and check out the photos to see what it looks like when healthy and happy. Right now try to carefully bury its column in the sand, but otherwise leave it alone while it acclimates to your tank. Keep an eye on your clown, too. If the clown is too aggressive, you may need to separate it from the anemone until the anemone settles in.

Welcome to RC! I would agree with everything said above (BonsaiNut might as well have written a book on nems, the way he can quote them, lol). In addition, I was wondering if you were new to saltwater or just to anemones and the forum? I ask because, just as a fair warning, if your tank is less than 5 or 6 months old, you may run into some trouble as anemones can be sensitive to new tank setups, and as a result can die for apparently no reason. If it is ever seeming to fade, I would reccommend a water change, just to be safe.
