Is my SS starfish dying?

Can someone tell me if my sea star is dying? He's been doing well until just this morning. He had been at the top of the aquarium, but now just seems to be withering. If its not to late, can I give him a silverside. My fear is that he is starving, although he has always stayed to the right side of the aquarium. I've never seem him on the left, yet I'm left to wonder if he is starving.

Any comments/suggestions welcomed

I don't see a pic, but if he's degenerating then he's probably starving. Sadly, this is usually the fate of SS starfish in home aquaria.

Unless you have 200g established reef or bigger I'm sure it is starving. Those are best left out of a system

Dmorty is correct. I can't see the pic but if it is deteriorating, it is dying of starvation. I had one die after about 5 months in my established 120g. Shows how much microfauna they consume and how large of a tank they need to live long term in aquaria.

It's a desjardii sailfin tang.
