Is there a way to get my Semi Snows into my Carpet?

I just got a nice blue Carpet Anemone, and have a pair of Semi snows that wanted nothing to do with my RBTA, I put the carpet in the corner the clowns sleep in, but they are at the top of the tank, is there a way to get them to go into the carpet? Or are they hopeless? It has only been a week with it in there.

Thanks,

Patience patience patience... It will take them some time to figure it out... Nothing you can really do to process it faster even if you force them into it... The only way I think that may help is find a clown who knows how and he/she can help them learn but then you are introducing a new clown so they will fight... Good luck

How do I tell what kind of Carpet? There were black ice clowns hosting in it at the store.

Will it make it harder that my clowns have been in the tank and not in an anemone for like a year now?

Scan through the video below. The "carpet" in the top left is S. gigantea. S. gigantea is the natural host of A. ocellaris, so your fish should be in it in no time. The anemone on the bottom right, is S. haddoni. S. haddoni is not the natural host to A. ocellaris. It may take quite some time for your ocellaris to move into a haddoni. When clowns do not have their natural host, it's really hard to predict how long it will take, or if, they will adopt any particular surrogate host. It's really up to your clowns. They may adopt a power head for the next year, then one day change their minds, and move to the haddoni. No one really knows. It's totally up to the clowns.

Honestly even if it's their natural host it may still take them sometime to host the nem... This is regarding Tank raised clowns... Known Wild will likely host any nem given the chance and time.
