i was wondering if it's possible to grow in yor sand bed the critters that sifting star likes o eat. i hate to run out of food for him, because he has grown so much and looks really good. i don't want to starve him. i feed my corals and fish alot of food. does that help the sifting star?

You can buy some "live sand" and use it to "seed" a different tank. Along with that you can buy sandbed "recharge kits" form various vendors.
You will basically be setting up another tank just to raise the infauna that the stars feed on.
To be perfectly honest, it's not worth it because you would have to have a huge tank just to raise the critters just to keep a viable population going to feed to the star.
The infauna includes but is not limited to : amphipods copepods. various worms, tiny snails, micro stars and too many others to name.
