Is there science behind this?

I saw this ad whilst browsing my gmail, I decided I'd check it out for some lulz then it got me to thinking a little bit. Not that I'd purchase it because I don't think miracle products necessarily exist however it makes me wonder if something based on this principle could actually function.

Is there any rhyme or reason? I apologize if this question has been asked before.

I could have sworn I read somewhere that the ionic breeze was BS so I'd assume something based on the same concept would be just as effective =]

The only thing I wonder is how this thing is still on the market.
Every single claim that they make is so outrageously ridiculous that there is no way that what it claims is even possible.
