Looking into getting a carpet just wanted to post a picture and see what the pros think, I've had LTA in the past but never a carpet. What if anything can you tell from this pic? Thanks

Ps.... Not sure why the exclamation point in the title. Seems excessive but autocorrect felt it was warranted.

Hard to tell in the photo. What makes carpets tricky is that they can go from great to terrible in less than a day. The photo appears to be of a haddoni however, and in most cases if the mouth is closed/tight and it appears fully expanded, they usually tend to acclimate well (reds ones being the exception for some reason).

That's a Haddoni, and looks slightly sick to me. May or may not need tx. How long have you had him? How long has your tank been running?

He's not mine, im planning to get one in about 6 months but I'm trying to get the knack of spotting healthy and unhealthy specimens. I was looking at the, forgive the non technical lingo, pouty looking mouth and want to be a prepared buyer when I'm ready to go in for one. Tanks been up almost a year like I said looking at 6 months down the road but don't want to buy a sick one in the future.
