Foot/stalk not reddish pink like an LTA. I'd say maybe not an LTA.

That shrimp looks like he's daring you to take it though. :)

Although with petco, there's always a bleached out possibility which might explain lack of foot color? Now I've confused myself.

Hard to tell without shots of the mouth and the column up near the top. I do see a forked tentacle.....

But it’s weird for it to be in the sand. They would normally climb the glass to get as close to the light as possible.

If you can't see the red foot, look for the translucent dots/spotted veracue for LTA.

The tents do look kinda mag like, but no purple foot/base like most mags, but sometimes they lack that.

Tentacles are not best indicator, gotta see under the skirt some!

Wish I took more pics , but if I went back.it's because I'm bringing him home, but not sure kind of a long shot with out being certain.

So I've always thought about this but don't have time or space (yet)

Those nems are so cheap at petco, petsmart, etc., that it might be worth it to have a nem 'hospital tank' where I just buy them, nurse them back to health (so many are always bleached there), and then trade to local LFS just to restore them to the health they deserve and get them the heck out of the big chain store.

Problem is, would that just have those big chains getting more LTAs, etc., out of the ocean? I might just be making it worse for them.

Thinking is that just buy it anyway and keep it 'til it's healthy, if you have the room. Then pass it on if it's not what you want, but in the meantime you've saved the poor nem.

I dunno.
